Members of Clevedon and District Road Club must also be members of either Cycling UK or British Cycling. Membership of these organisations ensures all club riders have third party insurance.
CDRC is affiliated to both organisations.
CDRC’s affiliation to Cycling UK entitles club members to a discount on Cycling UK membership. As at 1/1/17 club members can join Cycling UK for £24 rather than £43 a year by going
to www.cyclinguk.org/affiliate-join and quoting 8012230.
Cycling UK members are automatically covered up to £10 million by its insurance policy, including using cycles for business use. But note that you are NOT covered if you are specifically employed as a cyclist, for example as a bike messenger. It is not possible to buy this policy separately from Cycling UK membership, although members of affiliated clubs can take it out at reduced rates.
