Building on the success of the new ride the previous week, this Sunday it was the turn of a new coffee stop…
The sunshine brought out a large number of riders as well as some summer kit and bare arms and legs. The saunter in the sunshine – briefly broken by the effort of a climb up Cheddar Gorge onto the tops of the Mendips – took in the stunning views across Somerset before heading for Wells.
Here, instead of the usual (Andre’s), the riders found themselves at the cafe by the Bishop’s Palace – a stunning location, enhanced by the fantastic weather.

The good sized cafe had plenty on offer, with the coffee being highly rated and the whole gamut of cakes, sampled, and whole heartedly approved of

I think this may become a regular destination – and have heard that some have been back already!
